“I thought you might be interested in the latest health and fitness trend to hit the District. Stretch Science, recently opened its doors at 1715 N St. NW in the dynamic Dupont/Logan Circle neighborhood. Stretch Science is the first facility in downtown DC devoted exclusively to stretch therapy.

Founded in 2016 in Charleston, SC, Stretch Science offers a variety of services including a therapeutic stretch, sports recovery stretch, or a 30-minute stretch. Active stretch therapy helps prevent injury, promote circulation, speed recovery, enhance performance and provides a good balance of flexibility and muscle function. Their clients range from those who are new to physical activity and experience general tightness all the way to professional athletes and everyone in between including those who suffer from things like arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica, kyphosis, scoliosis, paralysis, etc.

Matthew Centrowitz Jr., 2016 Olympic gold medalist, 2-time Olympian & 3-time World Championship medalist for the 1500 meters, is a client of Stretch Science. Born in in Beltsville, MD, Matthew says: “Jeff and the Stretch Science team are world class. With pre and post workout stretches they do a great job at keeping me healthy which is more than half the battle in the sport. I would suggest Stretch Science to anyone who may be struggling with injuries or looking to minimize the risk of injury.”
