Petworth’s Willow Opening a location in Navy Yard this Fall!

Congrats to the Willow folks, good peeps.

From a press release:

“The Yards, the neighborhood of residences, restaurants and shops located next to the ballpark along the Southeast waterfront in Washington, D.C., today announced its newest retailer set to open this fall. Willow, the DC-based shop focused on stylish clothing and one-of-a-kind gifts, will occupy 1,100 square feet of retail space steps from the neighborhood’s best restaurants and recreation areas.

“The opportunity to expand Willow into this vibrant, growing neighborhood is incredibly exciting,” said Willow owner Julie Weininger. “We can’t wait to bring our friendly neighborhood banter, fun window displays, and clothes to Yards residents. We think we’ll fit right into the innovative mix of shops that The Yards has attracted.”

Willow, which opened its first shop in Petworth in 2011, offers clothing and gifts for women, men and children. The brand adds a distinctive local twist with DC neighborhood inspired gifts and clothes designed in house by members of the Willow team.

“Shops like Willow, a brand born in DC that is both welcoming and unique, are exactly in line with this neighborhood,” said Debby Ratner-Salzberg, CEO of Forest City, developer of The Yards. “The Yards is a special neighborhood unlike anything in DC, and we know that Willow, with their distinct eye toward design and clever mix of gifts, will significantly add to the creativity and authenticity we’re bringing here.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
