Hana Japanese Market opened up at 17th and U Street, NW back in 2008. It is hands down one of the greatest shops in the District of Columbia.
Hana posted these gut wrenching words on their Facebook page yesterday:
“Hana Market is closed. We plan to reopen ASAP. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience.”
A reader reports:
“My friend who works in a Japanese broadcasting company said they’re only closed for two weeks.”
