“First dedicated Capital Bikeshare app will help riders find stations & bikes, check ride history & stats, purchase passes”

From a press release:

“Motivate, the operator of Capital Bikeshare, is unveiling a new mobile app to help residents and visitors in the Washington, D.C. area navigate the area and unlock access to the system, the company announced today. Users and new riders can download the mobile app on iPhone and Android, and it will provide riders with new features to connect them to the system in real time.

“The new Capital Bikeshare mobile app will open up new possibilities for CaBi riders– providing a convenient and quick way to find a bike or a dock, keep track of exercise, and make it easier to know that you’ve properly docked your bike,” said Capital Bikeshare General Manager Eric Gilliland. “It’s never been easier to give Capital Bikeshare a try, and we look forward to providing our riders a more seamless experience than ever before.”

The system’s new mobile app allows members to purchase a variety of passes or an annual or 30-day membership, and allows current Capital Bikeshare members to log-in to access their ride statistics, including tracking calories burned and miles traveled. It also lets riders check for available bikes and docks in real-time.

Features of the new mobile app include:

A color-coded map or list view to see stations nearby and check real-time bike and dock availability.

Easy access to purchase a 24-hour, 3-day, or Single Trip memberships and special promotions.

Push notifications for important ride updates including time of trip and end of ride reports.

Displays the location of Capital Bikeshare’s weekday morning bike corrals, which guarantee places to dock a bike during high-use times.

Ride codes in case you forget your CaBi key or are waiting for it to be delivered.

Access to statistics including your last ride and your all-time stats, with number of rides, total miles ridden, and number of calories burned.

Capital Bikeshare is operated by Motivate, a global leader in bikeshare. Several of Motivate’s other systems, including Citi Bike in New York, Hubway in Boston, and Ford GoBike in the Bay Area have access to their own versions of the popular app which has been downloaded nearly 300,000 times in the past year.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
