This rental is located at East Capitol Street NE at 6th SE. The Craigslist ad says:

“$2500 / 1br – 1250ft2 – Large furnished 1 BR apartment in grand Victorian home

** Place is currently rented through August 27th, 2017. Please contact about dates starting after that day. **

Short-term rental offered in newly furnished apartment. I am looking for a multi-month lease at the rate of $2,500/month, but I can also work out a daily rate.

Large, sunny one bedroom apartment in classic Victorian home on East Capitol. Often called an English Basement, it comprises the entire first floor of the home. It has a private entrance at front and rear.

It is furnished with new or excellent condition furniture and other furnishings.
The bedroom is well lit by south facing front bay windows, and the living room is lit by 3 large windows and glass doors front and back. It has a full kitchen with dishwasher, gas range (oven and broiler), microwave, toaster, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom is large and includes a tub/shower, and it attaches to the laundry room and additional closet/storage room. The living room is very large. Back door opens onto back garden and sitting area.

– Kitchen has ample cabinets, dishwasher, gas range, microwave, toaster, and refrigerator.
– Bathroom is large and includes tub with shower, toilet, sink and cabinets.
– Bedroom includes queen size bed, chest, desk, lamps, and table.
– Utility room includes washer/dryer.
– Gardens in front and back.
– It has its own laundry room
– Owner lives upstairs and is generally available for immediate response to any problem.

A $150 cleaning fee will be assessed upon leaving. Deposit is based on projected rent. The deposit will be returned promptly (within 10 days of vacating). Deposit is required to confirm lease.

Located on East Capitol immediately north of Eastern Market. There is ample shopping and entertainment within a short walk. It is near both Barracks Row and H Street corridor. It is five blocks from Capitol, Library of Congress and Folger Theatre/Library. Also near Stanton Park, Lincoln Park, and “Turtle Park”. It is very near Eastern Market metro station and there is a bus stop on the corner. The neighborhood is also very bike friendly.

Metro accessed at Eastern Market (orange/blue lines) or Union Station (red line). Buses run down East Capitol and Pennsylvania Avenue. Bike lanes run down East Capitol and 6th Street.

Non-smoking, no pets.”
