via @DCPoliceTraffic

AlertDC reported around 10am:

“DDOT reports a cyclist struck at 14th and I St NW. At this time, southbound 14th St NW (all lanes) and I St NW lanes 2 and 3 are blocked. Please use an alternate route.”

A reader reports:

“The “police activity” that happened on 14th and I this morning: bus hit a pedestrian and possibly dragged him. Two employees at my job were witnesses and haven’t shown up to work yet to give more details.

Update: was a cyclist, that was just what we heard when I mentioned pedestrian. Person is going to be okay, so that is a good thing. My colleagues were first on scene and are pretty shaken up so heading home. Cyclist was dragged for a while and bus driver did not notice/see that he was dragging a cyclist.

DC Police Traffic now reports:

“UPDATE: Accident 14th & I Street, NW CLEAR ALL LANES OPEN”
