“Anyone else hearing this or know what it is?”

“Dear PoPville,

A bit of an odd topic but I figured the hive mind that is PoPville might be able to provide answers! I live near 15th and Euclid and about 4-6 weeks ago, I first noticed a bizarre noise in the neighborhood that’s now present 24/7. It initially sounded like a high-pitched car squealing but my next best guess is some sort of malfunctioning commercial air conditioner? I walk my dog around the neighborhood often and it seems loudest near 14th and Fairmont but I’m still not sure where the noise is coming from. It’s pretty ear-piercing (akin to nails on a chalkboard). I’ve seen others here talk about a noise ordinance to see if the issue can be addressed by the city but I am still at a loss to what exactly it is or where the noise is coming from. Anyone else hearing this or know what it is?”
