ANXO Collabs For the Win – Check Out Plans for new Barracks Row Spot and Kennedy Street

525 8th Street, SE

From a press release:

“After recently celebrating their one-year anniversary at their Florida Avenue location, the ANXO team introduced breakfast last weekend to their Kennedy Street Tasting Room. This weekend Timber Pizza is coming to Porrón by ANXO on Barracks Row with their own breakfast menu, pizza and Lost Sock Coffee.

A breakfast menu of pizzas, pastries, and more is coming to Porrón by ANXO this Friday, July 20th. Timber Pizza Company will bring their wood-fired oven to Barracks Row to serve up breakfast empanadas (egg, cheese, bacon or seasonal veggie), bagels, biscuits, pastries, and popular pizzas from their Petworth flagship location, such as the Green Monster (basil, fresh mozzarella, feta cheese, kale, zucchini) and The Bentley (tomato sauce, provolone, mozzarella, cured chorizo, sopressata, Peruvian sweet peppers, spicy honey).

Those wood-fired delights will be paired with coffee, espresso and cold brew from Lost Sock Roasters, who will also be offering coffee beans by the bag.

HOURS – Breakfast is available at Porrón by ANXO every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 2pm.

DETAILS – Timber pastries range from $3-$5 and are available through breakfast service. Pizzas range from $12-$16 and are available from 11am to 2pm. Lost Sock beverages range from $2.50-$4, and 8oz bags of coffee beans are priced at $12.”

The new breakfast menu at ANXO Cidery & Tasting Room also features coffee from Lost Sock Roasters, the third-wave coffee producer that is immediately adjacent to ANXO on Kennedy Street. Hot coffee, coldbrew, and beans to-go are all available along with ANXO cider to be enjoyed in-house or to take away.

Savory brunch items include bagel sandwiches (bacon, egg & cheese; classic salmon lox), The Geri Special (roast beef, sunnyside-up egg, cheddar, and grated tomato on toasted brioche), andSourdough Avocado Toast (avocado créme, roasted baby peppers, chives, olive oil, house-grown nasturtium leaves). Bread and bagels are baked fresh for ANXO by Bakery de France in Rockville, Maryland.

Guests looking for brunch cocktails are in luck: the Cidermosa combines ANXO Collaboration Cider #4 (made with Eden Specialty Ciders in Vermont) and fresh orange juice in a porrón– perfect for sharing.

HOURS – Breakfast is available at ANXO Cidery & Tasting Room every Saturday and Sunday from11am to 4pm.

LOCATION – 711 Kennedy Street NW

DETAILS – Breakfast items range from $4-$13, Lost Sock house brew is $3 a glass, and cold brew is $4 a glass.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
