Taqueria del Barrio & Upshur Street Restaurants Host Petworth Pride Fundraiser Sunday

“Taqueria del Barrio joins with its neighboring restaurants in Petworth to throw the inaugural Petworth Pride fundraiser, a chance for guests of all ages to come together and support the LGBT community during LGBT Pride Month. Upshur Street gathering places Taqueria del Barrio, Hank’s Cocktail Bar, and Petworth Citizen will offer select bites and $5 specialty cocktails on June 18, with $1 from each cocktail sold benefiting LGBT charities.

A portion of proceeds from Taqueria del Barrio’s Petworth Pride cocktails will benefit Point Foundation, the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students, with other participating restaurants donating to Casa Ruby and SMYAL. Absolut is proud to sponsor the inaugural Petworth Pride fundraiser, with each participating restaurant showcasing a creative Absolut cocktail on their specialty drinks menu.
