Fast Casual Mediterranean, Shouk, joining Pluma by Bluebird and Trader Joe’s at 4th and Florida Ave, NE

350 Florida Ave, NE

Ed. Note: Also coming to the new Edison building near Union Market are Trader Joe’s and Pluma by Bluebird Bakery.

From a press release:

“Modern eatery and market, Shouk is excited to announce a second location is expected to open in early 2018 in The Edison at Union Market District.

Voted Eater Fast Casual Restaurant of the Year in 2016, Shouk is eager to bring its Israeli market food to a neighborhood known for its markets and dining destinations. Founder Ran Nussbacher and executive chef Dennis Friedman spent countless hours researching and composing dishes made entirely of plants. As the fast casual restaurant that satisfies every diet, Shouk’s new location will continue to offer a menu of airy pitas and earthy bowls for which it has become known.

Since opening in 2016, Shouk consistently rethinks comfort food with revolutionary plant-based dishes like the critically acclaimed Shouk burger, and a no-egg breakfast pita. Popular dishes include the impossibly “creamy” cauliflower pita and the flaming hot black bean pita stuffed with sweet potatoes and spicy harissa. Originally created with kids in mind, the pizza pita with roasted tomato bursts and tangy tahini is a sleeper hit. The menu includes snacks like brightly colored beet tahina dip and crispy polenta fries with tomato sauce, alongside seasonal soups and salads. Shouk also serves beer and wine.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
