I would but… that 16 month minimum. And all those noisy field hockey games across the street…

You’d be surprised what rents on Craigslist. In fact I’d say it’s better than the more millenial apps (Zillow, Apartments.com, etc.) for high end stuff. I rented my house (~$8k) on CL, twice.

who knows if anyone will remember, but is this the “Apostles” house from 12 years ago?

    • bll

I don’t know the Apostles house, but this house was an absolute dump about 7 or so years ago. I went to an estate sale, and I considered it only slightly habitable. I’m excited to finally see the renovation.

Perfect for Tiffany Trump while she attends law school!

Except Georgetown Law is nowhere near this house…

      • maxwell smart

OBVIOUSLY she is going to have a driver.

        • jaybird

She might be the last Trump in town.

        • AdMoRez

More like she’ll have a helicopter pilot.

  • DC Homeowner

It looks like it is also on the market for $4.35m — https://www.redfin.com/DC/Washington/1609-35th-St-NW-20007/home/9930350

Looking at other houses for sale this thing seems way overpriced — more than $1000/sf is a lot for Georgetown.

    • bll

I just looked on redfin and it says $3.45. Still a lot of money, but did you maybe transpose the numbers?

      • DC Homeowner

Yes — I managed to transpose the price. $1024/sf is still accurate though. Insane.

    • anon

Is it strange that the Craigslist posting says it’s represented by TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, while the Redfin listing says it’s for sale with Central Properties?

Good thing love is free, after rent nothing is left.

      lol

No – but maybe their personal assistant is?

  • CathedralHeightsMetro

But if rented as a group house, it’s only a reasonable $3250/month per bedroom!

I believe this price is what we call the “opening offer” in a long bargaining process. This place won’t rent for $13K.
