From an email:

“Wunder Garten (1101 First St, NE) welcomes the arrival of spring with Frühlingsfest, a German tradition akin to Oktoberfest.

Head to the beer garden Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15 for live music, authentic German fare, Stein holding competitions and more games.

The party kicks off Thursday, at 4 pm with DJ Lehi and the tapping of the traditional Maibock keg. Specifically made for consumption at spring festivals, Maibock is a paler, more hopped version of bock, a strong, German lager.

No ticket purchase necessary!”

This is the least looking beer garden pic ever… plastic cups / water bottles — is there even beer in this pic. Authenticity requires at least mugs to match the beer people!

Are children allowed? We just moved here from Germany, where such things were ok, but have found DC takes a dim view of drinking alcohol around children.
