Anthology. It’s a collection of things. Materials, textures, people, experiences, ideas. And here, it’s your collection. Did they purposefully not include shots with a bed in any of these photos? That seems pretty sneaky.

    • Tsar of Truxton

When you live in such a hot neighborhood, sleep becomes unnecessary.

      • Anon

Not just unnecessary, but also really difficult – literally too hot to sleep.

    • maxwell smart

It’s pretty clear though from the photos – you are either have a living space or a sleeping space, not both. I’m guessing the thinking is that you are essentially using your apartment like a hotel – for sleeping and bathing – and little else.

      • Leeran

That’s the odd part… 428 square feet isn’t totally insane for a studio. They just chose to stage it like the living room portion in a 1 bedroom.

        • CDOG

If you look at the website the pictures are from a 1 bedroom they just did not include the bedroom picture

      • skj84

I did the tour last summer, they are decently sized. I liked the one bedroom more, but the studio wasn’t a shoebox. I actually love the whole building. Not everyones cup of tea of course, but its hip without being too pretentious.

        • Rich

It has a zen fountain. I think it’s pretty pretentious.

          • skj84

Why? What’s wrong with a Zen fountain?

  • anon

Pretty funny that they don’t even stage it with a sofa or murphy bed.

  • James W.

This place has the most exquisitely hipster-douchey website…

    • Rich

      Well, Justin likes it.

      • Michael Pierce

        Shocker.

  • Hill Denizen

If the photos are of the studio, then I’m surprised at how big that kitchen is. As someone who loves to cook, and whose current studio is essentially a kitchen with room for a bed (not really, but it is basically half kitchen), I’d love to live there, but I don’t think many studio dwellers share my sentiments.

  • bean

I wonder how many people walk in/by this building thinking it is an anthropologie store.

    • maxwell smart

It was actually the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the photo!

    • Pixie

That was my first thought when I saw this ad. The outside of this building reminds me of the Anthropologie store in Friendship Heights.

    • greg

as a local to the neighborhood and as someone who has never shopped at anthropologie, it took me a couple of times passing by to realize it wasn’t the clothing store

    • farragutst

      Exactly what i thought!

  • ArchaeoG

I read this ad in the voice of Bill Hader’s character Stefan

    • bll

that’s a good one. I read it as the voice of “the residences at the lofts at Kenny’s house in sodosopa” from south park.

  • MadMax

This is a pretty sweet building. If I were in the mid-twenties bachelor life and new to DC I would definitely be scoping this place out.

  • ejh

sweet place. and right by that new whole foods. chicks love whole foods.
