This is a great location and building, for about what I was paying for a 1br a block away about 3 years ago. Walk-able to lots of stuff, but the street feels pretty residential.

market rate is 2,800 that is how they will re-coop the money after you don’t leave after the first year. Get em in and then twist the knife after the first year. Price will go sky rocketing after….

This is why some people find real estate people kind of creepy…. just FYI.

Been spending most our lives, living in a walker’s paradiiiise. Sorry. Sharing the earworm.

I live nearby – lot of young people in that building and apartments seem to turn over quickly. Rental rates for older buildings without amenities in our area are pretty weak. 1 bedroom units in my (old, no amenity) building rented for $2300 during 2005-2007 and are renting for about the same now. And I doubt $2125 would cover mortgage, tax, ins @ 4.25% today at zillow estimate levels…

An older, not-updated two bedroom, two bath in my building with pro management flogging it was on market for more than a month recently and only rented for 2450 after two reductions.

Season may have to do with that. January-February is just a tough period, so I could see that 2bd/2 bath going for more during the August-September period
