We first heard plans about Boulangerie Christophe about a year ago. It’s opening next door to the former Commander Salamander space now an M & T Bank on Saturday.

“We’re opening on Saturday! Come see us in Georgetown! We open at 7:30AM! Restaurant & Bakery! A Bientôt!

Boulangerie Christophe: Bringing the Ultimate Bakery & Dining Experience from the South of France to Washington D.C. Located in the Heart of Georgetown.”

Speaking of French pâtisseries, any word on the Ladurée that was scheduled to open in Georgetown?

This reminds me I need to get back to Un Je Ne Sais Quoi to try some more of their stuff.

    • Good call – I’ve been wondering about them!

Stopped in during a staycation for something sweet. After finishing, got back in line and brought 3-4 more things home to sample with the Mrs.

Whyyyy does Georgetown get all the French stuff?

They didn’t. You can also visit dozens of Au Bon Pain, Le Pain Quotidien, Pret a Manger, Paul and Confiture Le Pain Dans Votre Trou de Tarte locations all around town.

LOL @ any of those (except maybe Paul) being even remotely French.
