That’s too close to a historic tree and will need to come down

oh god, is this going to restart the Capitol Hill Anti-Tree House fight again? Now in a new location!

I’m still trying to figure out how to access the house. Doorway to the edge of the building with a ladder? Seems like the house should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise, so the entrance faces the main house.

That is a very good point.

I think it needs to be in a tree to be a treehouse. This appears to be a “roof-house.” Unclear why exactly it’s there, but hey to each their own.

It’s there probably because they don’t own the big tree. Doubt they got a permit to build this, hopefully they had a structural engineer inspect that rooftop – it looks old. But yeah, super nice play house. I would have loved that when I was 12.

I dunno, microapartment in an accessory dwelling? Those are legal as of September.
