This place is warm and friendly. In addition to coffee, they have hearty home cooked fare. Eating lunch there is like visiting the Brazilian aunt you wish you had.

My girlfriend and I came here after a trip to Brazil to find some of our favorite food items (pão de queijo!) that we had enjoyed in Rio de Janeiro. I was very surprised/impressed by this unassuming cafe! The food was great, the service remarkably warm and friendly, and the interior was cozy and clean. They even had a few TVs quietly playing soccer, and I was surprised not to see more people there. I would love to see this place succeed. Highly recommend everyone give them a chance if you’re in the neighborhood!

Please please please visit the team at Lia. The food is delicious. Ramona, the owner of the building and the salon upstairs, is a long time Mt. P business owner and resident who is working hard with the new management team to make this place a success. Please support her and get fed at the same time!
