From a press release:

“Grosvenor Americas (Grosvenor), a property investment and development company, announced today that Roti, a boutique chain of Mediterranean restaurants currently in Illinois, Maryland, Virginia and New York, as well as Washington, DC, signed a lease for 2,414 square feet at its F1RST residential community in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.

Roti specializes in fresh, sustainably sourced food served in a traditional Mediterranean style rich in vegetables, olive oil, wholesome grains and lean protein. Combining a healthy food and simple, traditional recipes, Roti will provide the neighborhood with yet another high-quality restaurant option.

“We’re excited to welcome Roti to F1RST and to this burgeoning neighborhood,” said Jonathan Carr, senior vice president of development for Grosvenor’s D.C. office. “Adding Roti to the retail mix means residents will be able to enjoy a broad array of food offerings right at their front door.”

F1RST is designed to LEED Silver and will offer 325 rental apartments, of which 50 will be offered at below-market rental rates. F1RST not only provides an outdoor rooftop theatre for residents, but the 450,000-square-foot mixed-used development will also provide an array of amenities including a rooftop pool and hot tub, full-service concierge staff and a 2,300-square-foot fitness center. The development also includes a 170-room Residence Inn by Marriott and over 24,000 square feet of retail space – where Taylor Gourmet, Chipotle, Rasa and Chop’t are already confirmed as tenants. Retailers plan to open in Spring 2017 at the same time F1RST residences will be complete and available for rent (www.f1rstdc.com).

F1RST is less than a quarter of a mile from the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, a block from Navy Yard Metro Station, a mile from Capitol Hill and minutes away from The Yards.

F1RST was designed by Hickok Cole Architects and co-developed by McCaffery Interests, who also provide construction, leasing and property management for the project. Bethesda-based Clark Enterprises is an equity partner in both the residential and retail components.”
