MPD Releases Video of Vehicle of Interest Sought in Tuesday’s Fatal Hit-and-Run of 54-year-old Jacqueline Cole

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Unit seeks the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and driver associated with a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at approximately 6:24 am.

A dark colored sports utility vehicle (SUV) was traveling northbound in the 3500 block of 14th Street, Northwest toward Parkwood Place, Northwest. As the vehicle came to the intersection, a pedestrian who was crossing the street using a marked crosswalk was struck. The SUV then fled the crash scene without making their identity known.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The decedent was identified as 54-year-old Jacqueline Cole, of Northwest, DC.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
