“This happened today at the corner of Georgia Ave and Hamilton St. (approximately Georgia Ave., NW) There were also children in the car, but no one was seriously injured (according to the store clerk).”
DC Fire and EMS reported:
“Car into store 5200 block Georgia Ave NW. Checking for injuries and assessing structural damage. Also have odor of gas. PIO enroute.”
and
“Ga. Ave update. Both Pts tx. Gas Co. on scene dealing with leak. 3 evacuees from store and adj. apt remain outside until gas leak secured.”
