I’m still too emotional to talk about the loss of Angles and Little Fountain but it is definitely worth sharing the news from Washington Business Journal:

“Arthur plans to turn the space into full-service Wingo’s on the lower level and a sports bar “with a Wingo’s theme and pub menu” on the upper level, he said via email. He’s aiming to open January 1, 2017.”

You can see Wingo’s Georgetown menu here. Think a sports bar this close to Ventnor (2411 18th St NW) can do well here? Any fans of the wings?

  • RIP, the Adams Morgan I once knew.

    • And loved.

Really? The introduction of a great wing spot and what could be a solid sports bar is what put it over the top for you?

Maybe you don’t understand the affection that people had for the Little Fountain Cafe — it was really an Adams Morgan institution.

I do understand, and I was a fan of Angles myself, but I would’ve thought this kind of comment was reserved for when the two places closed, not when the replacement was named.

omg. another wingo’s. this is wonderful news.

I mean, I’m not a fan of a generic sport pub in AdMo but I do love the wings/food from wingos. It’s imo the best wings in DC and my go-to comfort food delivery place, so I am a bit torn.

Yeah, this is awesome. Feel a little bad for Ventnor’s but otherwise a Wingos and a good sports bar is perfect for this spot.

The Little Fountain was easily my favorite restaurant in the city. Sad to see it go, not really enthused about a sports bar.

I have to say, it’s been years, but I lived around the corner from LFC and never understood the love people had for this place. It was fine, don’t get me wrong, but nothing special.

Adams Morgan doesn’t have a really good wings spot, IMHO. I will love this, as it’s just a few doors down from me.

You should try the wings at the blaguard!

those are vegan wings, no? I had them before and they were good…for vegan wings. But sometimes (mot of the times) I want the real thing.

Really hoping this Wingo’s does delivery. Hands down some of the best wings DC has!
