Heads up Apple… From an email:

“The Carnegie Library building on Mt. Vernon Square was temporarily closed on September 23, 2016.

Events DC, the manager of the Carnegie Library where the Historical Society is located, identified mold in two areas of the building. Events DC will continue further testing and conduct proper remediation to ensure the safety of the historic building. Please contact 202-249-3000, for all questions related to the building.

The Historical Society’s highest priority continues to be the safety of our staff, the protection of our collections, and ensuring that our scheduled events and activities can take place.
