That neighborhood didn’t have a kung fu gift shop yet, so it’s a welcome addition.

I think’s the the one that used to be on 7th St . They closed a few months ago. Maybe they are relocating?

Ughhhh. I kept hoping with the rapidly changing dynamic of the neighborhood just north, east and south of here, that entire strip along the north side of NY Avenue would see something useful arrive. That awful used car lot (or whatever it was) finally disappeared at 4th and NY Avenue. The stretch of NY Avenue between here and 1st ST NE when you hit NOMA is such a depressing sight.

Now my Monday desperately needs a Kung Fu GIF Shop.

I walk by this place everyday on my way to and from work and I have always wondered what is in that building. The Kung Fu Gift Shop yellow banners in the windows are relatively new. There used to be banners advertising for Signs (consistent with the big “Signs” signs above the windows) but it appears that the Signs store has moved upstairs (I think the small white sign on the right hand side of the picture that you can see half of says Signs is located upstairs now).

But I’ve walked by this sign almost every week day for 1.5 years and I have never seen anyone go inside or come out of that store.

“walked by this *store*.” Though my typo of “sign” might work just as well.
