“Dear PoPville,

The Carter Barron schedule for 2016 has been released. Looks like the format has changed – no more all-free events, instead weekly concerts benefiting Carter Barron and Rock Creek Park trails. Given how underutilized the Amphitheater has been in recent years (was told by park rangers it was due to sequestration), it’s probably a change for the better.

Shows at the Carter Barron Amphitheatre:

7/30 Darryl Haley presents ROCK THE CITY, a benefit concert in support of Carter Barron Amphitheatre & Rock Creek Park trails (7 – 10 p.m.)

8/6 ROCK THE CITY benefit concert (7 – 10 p.m.)

8/13 ROCK THE CITY benefit concert (7 – 10 p.m.)

8/20 ROCK THE CITY benefit concert (7 – 10 p.m.)

8/25 Joint Service Jazz: Celebrate the National Park Service Centennial with the U.S. Army Blues, U. S. Navy Commodores and U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note (7 – 10 p.m.)

8/26 Movie Night (starts at dusk)

8/27 Movie Night (starts at dusk)

9/3 DC Blues Society presents DC Blues Festival (noon to 7:30 p.m.)

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
