Yorkie Found Tonight

A reader reports:

“I found a lost dog this evening wandering around my neighborhood. I would ideally like the person to identify the dog’s neighborhood and distinguishing characteristics before returning it to its owner.”

If you recognize this pup please email me at [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP. Thanks.

    Is it Lexington?!

  • AdMo

Is that the dog whose photo has been posted all over Adams Morgan?

  • Gui

I just saw a sign yesterday somewhere on 11th street, maybe 11th and Lamont or Monroe with a mission Yorkie on it! Maybe it’s the same one??

    • Those posters are for Lexington, and yes she is still missing.

  • Becka

That looks like Lexington! Posters are all over Columbia Heights. https://twitter.com/search?q=%23HelpFindLexington&src=typd

    • Lex’s owner has been contacted – unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be but she’s following up.

  • karen cohen

What neighborhood did you find this dog? Karen

    • If you think you know this dog (besides Lexington) please email me and I’ll put you in touch with OP.

    What about this guy

“My Male Yorkie “Diesel” went missing today 6/28 around 12 Noon. We live in NE- Deanwood area. If anyone finds him please contact me 202-241-7710.”

    • The dog in this post is a female. I have been in contact with Diesel’s owner, and he is still missing. Diesel is much smaller than the dog in the photo above. He’s a little taller than Lex, but probably weighs just about the same (3 lbs).

  • This is Lexington’s owner. Definitely not Lex.

Oh, that’s too bad — was really hoping this would turn out to be Lexington. :(

So sorry Nida! Hope you find Lex soon – we are still on the lookout every day

There are posters for a missing yorkie at the dog park on Newark Ave NW near Cleveland Park/Glover Park.

    • If the posters are near the Newark Street Dog Park on 39th Street & Newark Ave NW, then it’s a poster for Lexington. She is still missing.

  • anon

saw a poster for a lost yorkie at 16th and U over the weekend…not sure if its theirs.

    • The posters near 16th & U Street are for Lexington. And yes, she is still missing.

        Fingers crossed @ Nida
