I call BS on the term “English” basement. It’s just a freaking basement. Kind of like “Gourmet Kitchen.”

An English basement is one that’s partially above ground.
      .
This particular English basement doesn’t seem to get much light, though.

I already work in an office with no windows, so I’d particularly hate coming home to an apartment like this. I love that street though.

This seems like a decent deal when you consider the fact that utilities are included. That said, the lack of natural light would likely be a deal-breaker for many. I find the desire for a 2 year lease a bit odd. Do people really sign leases of that length? I supposed that would keep your rent locked at a rate, so it might not be all bad. A lot can happen in 2 years, seems like a huge commitment for a rental.

Easy enough to work out a replacement arrangement if you sign a longer lease. My tenants signed a 2 yr lease because I offered them the option to find their own replacement if things changed.
Do people usually move every year? Maybe I’m the anomaly in that I tend to stay in places for many years.

Please , if possible, can I get a more private, secure e-mail/comment location?
