This Weekend’s Metro Track Work “Single tracking between U Street & Georgia Avenue”

“Reconstruction of the Metrorail system will continue over the weekend of June 11-12 with service adjustments on all six lines. Trains will operate as follows:

Red Line trains will operate every 12-20 minutes.
Orange, Silver, Blue, and Green Line trains will operate every 18 minutes.
Yellow Line trains will operate every 18 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Sq only.
All lines operate every 20 minutes after 10:00 p.m.

REMINDER: Metrorail’s new closing time is midnight as of Friday, June 3

Red Line
Trains every 12-20 minutes | 7:00AM Saturday until closing Sunday

Single tracking between Silver Spring & Glenmont to allow for switch replacement.

Red Line trains will operate:

Between Shady Grove & Silver Spring every 12-15 minutes.
Between Silver Spring & Glenmont every 20 minutes.

Orange Line
Continuous single tracking, trains every 18 minutes

Single tracking between East Falls Church and Ballston for SafeTrack Surge #1. SafeTrack Surge #1 runs through system closing Thursday, June 16.

Orange Line trains will operate between Vienna & New Carrollton every 18 minutes.

Silver Line
Continuous single tracking, trains every 18 minutes

Single tracking between East Falls Church and Ballston for SafeTrack Surge #1. SafeTrack Surge #1 runs through system closing Thursday, June 16.

Blue Line
Trains every 18 minutes | 7:00AM Saturday through closing Sunday

Blue Line trains will operate every 18 minutes to coordinate with revised train frequencies on the Orange, Silver, and Yellow lines.

Yellow Line
Trains every 18 minutes Huntington to Mt. Vernon Sq only | 7:00AM Saturday through closing Sunday

Yellow Line trains will operate every 18 minutes to coordinate with revised train frequencies on the Orange, Silver, and Blue lines.

All trains will operate to/from Mt. Vernon Sq rather than Fort Totten to coordinate with work on the Green Line. Customers traveling to/from stations north of Mt. Vernon Sq should use a Green Line train to complete their trip.

Green Line
Trains every 18 minutes | 7:00AM Saturday through closing Sunday
