My dog Echo ran after being spooked by another dog on Wed June 8 evening. She has now been missing over 40 hours. I am a US foreign service officer who adopted her while I was posted in Sri Lanka. Echo has an interesting history as a street dog swept up in a city cleanup ahead of a Commonwealth heads meeting who was rescued from awful conditions in captivity with her puppies. She has been my baby for 2 years. We moved to Fairlington (near Shirlington) only a week ago. I have been advised to spread the news far afield since beagles are big travelers.
She is tricolored beagle mix, mostly black with white chest and paws and gold markings. About 40 lbs and 2 feet tall. Was wearing a collar with a green name tag, harness and leash when she ran. Please contact Sheela at 7038250620.“
