“Washington, D.C. Native Becomes New Champion on The Price is Right! Joseph Cody from Washington, D.C. had a chance to “Come on Down” and win a sensational selection of prizes. This once in a lifetime opportunity for your local resident will be airing on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.”

Uh, Congrats to Mr. Cody. Way to represent!! I am genuinely jealous.

Being the champion on Price is Right is my high school sick day dream. I hope to get out to CA one day to be in the audience of that show!!!!

  • Philippe Lecheval

Awesome. I started watching The Price is Right back before Bob Barker stopped dyeing his hair.

  • b

    Hey I know that guy!

  • M

Noooooooo! PoPville ruined the surprise! This is a friend of mine & we’re having a watch party tonight. Oh well, at least the prize package will be surprise.

    • S

I know you and I am watching you…. JK see you tonight whoever you are

    • I doubt PoPville gets an advance notice of all contestants… Whoever this guy is, or his friend, likely submitted it. Blame them for ruining it?

      • It was sent by Price is Right PR.

      • M

Yea, that definitely came directly from the Price is Right. Joe was trying to keep it under wraps–he only told us that they were sitting near the front & we’d see a lot of them on camera.

      See you tonight……

      • M

Not if I see you first…

I’m not even kidding, one of my life’s goals is to compete on “Price is Right”. I watched religiously with my parents as a kid and would even strategize ways to win.

Totally bragging here…. When I was 8, I got a showcase’s actual retail price exactly right.

  • Joe

Being on the show was one of the best experiences I have ever had….you have to watch to see what happens. Trust me when I say you cannot guess….

    • You the man!

I was also on the show back in 2013. It truly is magical and utterly surreal to hear your name called.
Unfortunately, I called to “Come on down!” toward the end of the show and never made it onto the stage. Boo.

    • mcd

This is a really cool experience man- congrats. I work from home so I would watch but I don’t even know when the show is on any more…10 or 11 am right?

  • MKDGman

the last time I went to LA we got tickets to be in the audience. It was fun, but an overly long process to get inside for a taping. I am not sure if I would do it again. If you do go, take a large group with you. Someone from that group is more likely to be picked to be on the show than if you are with one or two people. One more secret…you can’t hear the announcer say your name and tell you to come on down…. Someone is holding a sign on the stage with the name.

Haven’t watched for years but as long as I am “working from home” I may as well watch. Go homie!
