Built in 2013 by Comstock Homes, this townhome originally sold for net $490,342. Known as The Hampshires, this community includes 73 town houses and a number of detached homes. Located at the upper west edge of NE DC, this newly created subdivision lies between Takoma Park and Fort Totten. Note that the map on the listing is incorrect. These properties are just west of New Hampshire Ave NE between Peabody and Quackenbos.

Newly built homes appear to have been sold directly by the builder as recently as January 2016. Prices for attached houses have ranged from the low $500,000.’s to the low $600,000.’s, often with generous subsidies toward closing costs. Some of the properties include third levels, and some do not (you can see the floor plans on the link to the builder’s website in the above paragraph.) Typical of urban new construction townhomes, the additional space is added above, rather than as a basement. Detached homes in this community have been selling in the high $700,000’s and low $800,000’s.

The listing agent for this sale was Nancy Vento Gretze with Redfin. Sophie Ghezai with Long and Foster Real Estate, Inc. represented the Buyer.
