RIP MCA

This old garage in Columbia Heights is slated to be developed so we probably won’t have the mural too much longer. RIP Adam Yauch aka MCA aka Nathanial Hörnblowér.

I just discovered it! Really hope the new owners keep the art om the walks, it’s such a cool building.

We’ve been neighbors with this property for more than 25 years. There have been some amazing works on those walls. At one point, the developer discussed trying to maintain a wall to continue the creativity. This would be an interesting study in how development and neighborhood culture could show mutual respect.
