I am sorry for your loss. I’ve never been to Kabuki, but in the area you can try either Momiji – go upstairs and sit at Andy’s bar for the best experience – or Sushi Capitol as a replacement. The omakase at the latter is fantastic.

Momiji is the best. Great quality and service. Awesome happy hour deals too

They closed about a week ago. Now I wish Yo! Sushi had stayed open!… hopefully someone fills the needed marked of Train Station Sushi

The Union Station Walgreens has sushi…not a sushi fan myself, but I’ve heard it’s “reasonably ok”

I liked this place too. Sorry to see it go!

  • IRememberTheMouse

I use to go here all the time until the photo of the mouse in the sushi bar got posted here. I can’t remember when that was, but sometime in 2009??? Prince, do you remember when that was posted and have a link?

    • I don’t – maybe textdoc does?

      • textdoc

Sorry — that was before I started following the blog.

I have a friend that works as a manager at a restaurant in union station. It is not just the sushi place with mice, it is the entire building and there is not much hope of getting rid of them. You won’t see them during the day but they are all over at night. Might as well not eat any where in that building if you are worried about mice.

Wow, way to ruin my current obsession with Shophouse right now. Ugh.

Oh I liked this place too! Not the best sushi ever by any means, but extremely good considering it was in the basement of a train station. Sorry to see it go.

  • SeventhStreet

Sorry to see them go. I was so annoyed to go into the Walgreen’s to learn they had no pharmacy (really!!!), but serve sushi. I don’t want to buy sushi at Walgreen’s–but I a pharmacy is really needed in that area. Total fail.
