“It’s that time again. Come celebrate the kickoff of the 2016 market season with our annual silent auction fundraiser. Join us Monday, April 25th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a fun night for a great cause at Chez Billy! We have the whole place to ourselves.

WHY?

The all-volunteer Board of Directors is raising money to make local food and products more accessible to all members of our community, regardless of income.

FUNDS RAISED WILL ENABLE THE MARKET TO:

  • Enhance our existing Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) bonus/match program

  • Host special events to promote community engagement and attract more neighbors

  • Support part-time market staff to coordinate operations and programming

Mark your Calendars! Opening Day of the Petworth Community Market is May 7! Markets are held on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 9th and Upshur Street. The first market will be on May 7 and the last market will take place on November 19. We’ll have plenty of food and produce, as well as goods from local vendors. Each week, we’ll feature events that are great for the entire family including live music, storytelling, cooking demos, and more.”
