Brookland’s Monroe Street Farmers Market Season Opening Saturdays, April 16 – December 17 10am-2pm (New Hours)

Brookland’s Monroe Street Farmers Market is back, featuring a new name, hours and vendors!  The market will open to the public at 10am and remain open until 2pm every Saturday from April 16 until December 17 (rain or shine).

Brookland’s Monroe Street Farmers Market features more than 15 vendors offering potted plants and herbs, mushrooms and honey, loose leaf teas, and pickled peppers along with the market’s staples from last year: fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy, coffee, artisan bread, baked goods and more.

The 27 artist studios on the Arts Walk, the best up-and-coming arts neighborhood (as voted by Washington City Paper), will be open for guests to visit during the markets.  Only Make Believe, located in Studio 1, will share a special performance beginning at 1:30pm for all market guests.  Come early for face painting, costume making, balloon twisting, and to enjoy the market and artist studios.

The Bike Rack DC and Filter Coffeehouse & Espresso Bar One-Year Anniversary Celebration

Saturday, April 16, 10-11am

The Bike Rack DC and Filter Coffeehouse & Espresso Bar will host an event celebrating its one year anniversary; offering kid’s bike safety checks, balloons, raffles, Acme Pie Co. treats, and more.  Festivities begin at the store at 10am with a special 20-mile introductory bike ride at 10 am.  For questions about the ride, call 202-832-2453 or register for free here.”
