“Want to help homeless kids in DC run towards a brighter future? Sign up for the Bright Beginnings 5K by April 9 for only $25 (registration increases after this date!) and help us raise money for Bright Beginnings, a DC-based non-profit which provides education, therapeutic and family-stabilizing services for 30% of Washington’s homeless infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and their families, to give them the best chance of success in school and in life. Bright Beginnings is located at 1st and M St NW and is opening an additional center next year to serve another 100 children.
This is a fun family run or walk for an amazing cause. Runners and walkers of all levels are invited. Plus there is a stroller brigade! The run/walk/stroller brigade will start and finish at West Potomac Park at Hains Point, next to the FDR Memorial in Washington, DC. Participants will enjoy a scenic view of the Tidal Basin, Jefferson Memorial, and the Potomac River.
