OMG I saw this too and wondered if they had been hacked somehow. Hahahaha….

Nextbus automatically pulls advisories from Metro’s website to fill that spot – they change when you refresh the page. This one pulled the title from this advisory: http://www.wmata.com/rider_tools/metro_service_status/advisories.cfm?AID=5417

I use the BusTrackDC app. I find it more user friendly than NextBus and less prone to error. Meh.

I’m a fan of DC Next Bus – I like that it shows the stops on a Google Map and will plot out the route. Pretty useful when you are not sure where exactly the bus goes or if you need to know what bus lines are near where you are.

+1. The NextBus site actually shows you exactly where the buses are along the route (especially helpful for rush hour buses that tend to get stuck in traffic, because the arrival time doesn’t always match). Perhaps other apps do this but I’m not aware of it outside of the actual NextBus site/app.

Not passing the buck, but rather actually communicating with riders. Why be blamed for something that is not their responsibility?

Who is the man, who would give his life for a shovel, man?
