Update from Metro Transit Police:

“Anacostia update — 2 suspects in MTPD custody. Both positively identified. #wmata”

“Anacostia additional: there is NO nexus to terrorism in this incident. Expect normal rail service to resume shortly. #wmata”

From WMATA just before 1pm:

“Green Line: Trains are bypassing Anacostia due to police activity. Shuttle bus service has been established.”

“Green Line: Trains are single tracking btwn Congress Heights & Navy Yard due to police activity at Anacostia. Delays in both directions.”

From Metro Transit Police:

“MTPD confirming one subject w/GSW at Anacostia Station. One victim: Adult male. #wmata”

“Medics on scene Anacostia. At this time (1300hrs) victim is conscious and breathing.”

“Anacostia Station update: station open, trains are servicing the station w/ single tracking; expect delays. #wmata”
