There are so many fires in Bloomingdale – my home having had one too, unfortunately. It is a terrible experience all around. Without knowing the source of this one, I guess it is due often to the age of the houses. But jeez. What is going on.

I think you answered your own question here. Modern electronics require modern electric systems.

Bloomingdale has elected a new Pope!!!

In all seriousness, glad everyone is okay though.

Yeah, old wiring and building materials, plus a lot of people are running space heaters this time of year. You just hate the idea of people getting pushed out of their home in this kind of weather. Hopefully, they didn’t have to cut a lot of holes in the roof, or break windows to get at it.

I just drove by the house, and it’s bad. The entire upstairs looks like it’s completely burned out, including the front bay window. There is a ton of burned and/or soaked debris out front. This place is probably facing a total gut job to fix it. I hope they have good insurance coverage and a warm place to stay for a few nights. I am going to try and figure out if there is a way for us neighbors nearby to help them out when their home is habitable again.

This is Truxton Circle, not Bloomingdale.
