“Dear PoPville,

I want to get each of my two nephews, ages 1 and 2, a DC t-shirt for Christmas. They are too big for onesies, so I am look for a tiny t-shirt. I would really to find one with the DC flag and “taxation without representation” on it.

I tried cafepress, but they can’t deliver anything until January. So I am looking for retail. Any suggestions of where I should go to look for these items?”

I saw a street vendor selling DC flag tshirts on 14th Street. Maybe try Farragut Square or National Airport?

I’ve seen someone selling DC related apparel on 14th between V and W, right outside the YES Organic Market. I’m not sure if he had children’s sizes though.

I was gonna recommend Pulp on 14th Street, but then I remembered that sadly they’ve closed. Sorry to be of no help whatsoever.

Try one of those “tourist” stores downtown. Not the street vendors, but the actual stores. They tend to have toddler sized clothes. Not sure if they will carry exactly what you are looking for though.

Check out Etsy. I got a Taxation w/o Representation t-shirt for my Uncle Hippie last Christmas.

Freddy delivered the shirts to my house near H Street via bike, which saved on shipping. Not sure if he has kids sizes in stock in taxation t-shirts, but he might be able to make them for you. Good luck!

Check out the Christmas Market by the Portrait Gallery in Chinatown. They are there until Xmas Eve and I think I saw someone selling DC Flag stuff for kids.

There’s a store at corner of Pennsylvania and 13th (or might be 14th), north side of PA

I saw some onesies and (I think) toddler-size D.C. flag T-shirts at Willow when they had their holiday event last week… but I don’t think their kids’ clothes had the “Taxation Without Representation” text.

Maybe contact DCVote directly and ask if they have any available or know where to get them.

Neighbors United for DC Statehood (http://the51st.org/) always has shirts on hand, available in exchange for donations. You could prob just swing by one of their houses and make the transaction.

There’s a street vendor west of the eastern market metro stop who usually has tourist slogan tshirts — i think i recall seeing a “taxation without representation” one

Years ago I made my Dad a custom T at the mall and it only took a few hours. This wasn’t local, but I imagine one of the VA malls has a custom clothing designer.

I live on 14th and W, and I can confirm that the DC flat t-shirt vendor sits outside, between Yes Organic Market and CVS, on weekends.

Where can I find a yard sign that says, “Please curb your dog. That means not urinating on this front yard”
