“The 10th anniversary H Street Festival is happening this Saturday, Sept. 19. Organized by H Street Main Street, the annual celebration highlights the development of the H Street NE Corridor and it’s vibrant businesses. The event is the District’s most popular festival, and this year’s will be the best yet, spanning 10 blocks of H Street NE and featuring over 175 businesses, restaurants, community organizations and merchants.
The Festival will offer more exciting entertainment than ever before, featuring performers and artists on 10 staging areas spread throughout the event. The performance schedule is available here.
The event will have over 75 food vendors, food trucks and restaurants serving up meals from all corners of the world. Festivalgoers can also visit the beverage gardens located along the festival route to sample the many available libations.
H Street NE is also doing a t-shirt giveaway at this year’s Festival. The first 50 festivalgoers to bring the sticker attached to the front of this week’s Washington City Paper to the yellow tent at the corner of 9 and H Streets will receive a free commemorative 10th anniversary t-shirt.
