Because there was a game last night and there are sometimes fireworks at the end of games, I wholeheartedly thought they were fireworks. There was about 9 shots in succession. I thought nothing of it until I saw the response. smh Makes me sad.

Plus the neighborhood kids shoot off fireworks all summer (or at least they did when I lived in SW pre-stadium). I never knew what was a firework and what was a gunshot, which made it easier to cope with the gunshots I guess.

What’s astounding is that you can be shot multiple times in the upper torso and still live! What a credit to our medical professionals in this city! We’re in good hands if we’re caught in the crossfire (bright side?)…

Didn’t hear the shots, but I live on Delaware Ave just south of M, and there were so many sirens and a multiple police cars that went flying down the street in the other direction at 10:45pm– about 30 minutes after I saw the police tweet about this shooting. Hopefully they will find the shooter! So sad that it was such a young guy, I hope he pulls through!
