“The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the entire DC metro area, effective from now until 8:00 PM. By definition, a Tornado Watch includes a Severe Thunderstorm Watch (storms with winds of 58 mph+ & hail of 1 inch in diameter+ are possible). Please stay tuned into TV, Radio, or Alert DC for possible Warnings, and be prepared to head inside if necessary.”
