I live in a six-story historic condominium in Dupont Circle and we are considering building a deck on our roof. The views would be great, and folks are excited about the possibility, but also nervous about the cost and any possible unforeseen construction issues.
Have any PoPville readers thought about, or actually added, such a roof deck. Some of our questions are about size, as zoning rules require us to build small or create a second roof exit. We would welcome any recommendations about contractors or architects. Finally, we would love to hear about any successful projects, as well as any horror stories of course.”
