From a press release:

“The best of two worlds will come together on Saturday, March 14th, 2015, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., when Whisked! artisan baked goods get paired with One Eight Distilling’s craft spirits for Pi(e) Day at One Eight Distilling in Ivy City.

The new distillery (which opened earlier this year as only the second in Washington, D.C. since prohibition) will offer tours and tastes of its small-batch spirits, while local favorite Whisked! (voted 2013 and 2014’s “Best Bakery” in the District by Washington Post Express readers) sets up shop in the tasting room, selling pies and quiches by the slice, plus a limited number of 6-inch and 9-inch pies to go (pre-ordering recommended – visit oneeightdistilling.com/events for ordering link).

“Pie and spirits make for a tasty combination,” said One Eight Distilling head distiller Alex Laufer. “We’re thrilled that visitors can come try a sip from One Eight and a slice from Whisked! on Pi Day, and we’ll have bottles and recipes on hand to encourage some booze-infused baked experimentation at home.”
