Final Weekend Metro Track Work before a Pause for Cherry Blossoms

From WMATA:

“Reconstruction of the Metrorail system will continue over the weekend of March 27-29 with service adjustments on two of six rail lines.

This weekend, Red, Orange, Silver and Green line trains will operate at regular intervals. Blue and Yellow line trains will operate every 18 minutes.

Metro is gearing up for the busy Cherry Blossom season, a time when weekday ridership increases 15 percent and weekend ridership can nearly double.

Sat. Apr. 4 & Sun. Apr 5: No weekend trackwork. Regular service on all lines.
Sat. Apr. 11 & Sun. Apr 12: No weekend trackwork. Regular service on all lines. Metrorail will open two hours early (at 5 a.m.) for the Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run.”
