Despite the cold in the air, another annual sign that spring is around the corner from Garden District (formerly Standard):
“in the fall we said we would re-open for the spring on march 1st, but this year we’re going to do even better than that.
we’re firing up the smoker tonight, opening up the gates [Saturday] at noon, and we are guaranteeing that the beer will be ice cold.
also, to celebrate our 5th year in the neighborhood, we’ll be selling $5 hofbraus and bratwursts all season long during the 5 o’clock hour monday through friday.”
