Snow Team Deploying Saturday – 2 inches predicted

From DPW:

“Mayor Muriel Bowser will deploy the District Snow Team, starting at 7 am, Saturday, February 21 with a full deployment of more than 200 snow trucks that will be on their routes by 9 am. Snow is expected tomorrow starting sometime after 9 am with temperatures in the 20s and rising. Snow may continue falling through 4 pm then change to freezing rain for a few hours and then become all rain after 8-9 pm. A quick 1-2 inches of snow will fall which will accumulate on pavements and then .01 inch of ice is possible before changing to all rain overnight Saturday into Sunday. Sunday we could see a few rain showers with temperatures in the mid 40s with the precipitation ending around noon.”
