I am a case manager with Community Connections, a large mental health provider here in Southeast DC. I work with the Veterans Housing team, housing homeless veterans; and once housed we work hard to keep them housed through a huge array of supports while they transition.
Many of the people we help do not have a lot of possessions and as the winter draws nearer we are working to ensure they have the necessary clothing to stay warm while they move about the community.
We are holding a coat drive this December, collecting final donations on the 16th. Help keep these veterans and their families warm this winter.”
