1336 14th Street, NW

Back in August we learned that there were plans to bring back Crow Bar [closed in ’98 at 20th and K St, NW] to the former Ghana Cafe space on 14th Street just south of Rhode Island Ave in the former Ghana Cafe space. In following up on the progress, one of the partners now tells me that the deal fell through. Updates when we learn who next takes over the space.

Logan circle desperately needs a good bagel place – hoping that something like that will take over this spot!

AGREE!! This is my block. I can’t wait for that stupid construction to be finished, and I would love for something great to move into Ghana Cafe since the other empty space is getting Popeyes v2.

Perhaps Bullfrog Bagels will open a second outpost? Is Bethesda Bagels in Dupont too close to Logan for a third location?!

      Let’s make it happen.

Mine is the block across 14th. I would really really love to see this be a bagel place. A bagel place that does bagel sandwiches too. maybe coffee, but nothing weird. either that or a BYOB Twister venue. DC doesn’t really have any good places to play Twister with your pals

try Slip Stream – right across from Ghana Cafe

      • Bullfrog isn’t that great, you should hope for something better.

      • This is my block too! Cannot wait for the construction to be done– and I’d loooove a bagel place nearby.

I would LOVE an Einstein Bagel in Logan!

I understand that being raised by New York Jews has made me a bagel snob. But, really: EW. If you want a round piece of bread with a hole in it, walk around the corner to Starbucks.

Poor Ghana Cafe. The nasty NIMBYs did a number on them.
