“Presented by Art Whino, the Petworth Jazz Project, the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation and Capital Bop, the New Vintage Jazz & Wine Festival is back for another year on Saturday, August 9 fom 2:00 – 10:00pm.

Following the success of last year’s event, New Vintage Jazz & Wine Festival returns again this year to the Fairgrounds for its second edition. Come relax at at this beautiful outdoor venue across the street from Nationals Park, sample over a dozen world-class wines, experience the latest sounds in modern and classic jazz, and enjoy food from eight of DC’s well loved food trucks. This year’s lineup includes Warren Wolf and Wolf Pack, the R&B and soul sounds of Soul Understated featuring Mavis ‘Swan’ and returning for a second year Funk Ark. Also performing is Allyn Johnson and Sonic Sanctuary, Lenny Robinson’s Wayne Contingency, and Elijah Jamal Balbed Quintet. Renowned wine producer Bobby Kacher presents a selection of 15 world class wines curated specifically for the New Vintage Festival. Art Whino will add visual vibrancy and complexity to the event with a wine inspired art exhibit and live painting by artists participating in the show. Throughout the day, these pieces will evolve into finished works contributing to the sensory experience of the festival and fostering the innate relationship between art and music.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising funds and awareness for colon cancer treatment and prevention.
